No Compulsory Shopping Policy
Touring time is not used for forced retail visits and the route price is not subsidized by compulsory purchases.
What the promise means
Published routes do not include compulsory jade, medicine, carpet, souvenir or other retail visits used to generate commission or subsidize the headline price. A guide or driver should not pressure travelers to buy goods or exchange touring time for a store stop.
The policy applies to private and small-group products shown on this site. It should also appear in the confirmed service scope.
Markets and crafts can still be meaningful
A bazaar, workshop or local producer can be visited when it has real cultural value and the traveler freely chooses it. That visit must not carry a purchase requirement, hidden minimum spend or penalty for declining.
Optional activities, meals, scenic shuttles and tickets are separate from shopping. They are shown as included, excluded or optional before payment.
If the operating route changes
A safety, weather or road change may require a new stop or waiting period. It should not be converted into an unplanned retail visit. Travelers can contact the planning team if the delivered service conflicts with the written no-shopping scope.
